Description
This vibrant, dry Ottonel Muscat was among the very first harvests of the year — brought into the cellar at dawn, unusually early in August. The grapes come from 27-year-old vines at the heart of the estate on Szent György Hill. Despite the extraordinary summer heat, the fruit remained exceptionally healthy. These parcels are among the very first plantings of the Szászi Estate, and have been part of our story since 1999.
The wine was crafted in a reductive style, fermented spontaneously in stainless steel to showcase the pure, aromatic character of the variety. On the nose and palate, fresh grape, citrus and floral notes dominate, all elevated by the unique terroir of Szent György Hill.
A perfect choice on its own, and an excellent companion to light dishes, salads and fish.
