Description
Pinot Gris is grown on 1,720 hectares in Hungary, mostly in the Badacsony wine region. However, when it comes to quantity, it’s most common in the Mátra wine region, where it covers over 500 hectares. This grape thrives in warm, volcanic soils, which isn’t surprising since some of the world’s most exciting Pinot Gris wines come from similar conditions.
Unlike the usual Badacsony style, we go for a Northern Italian vibe. Our Pinot Gris is fresh and made using reductive winemaking techniques to highlight the grape’s lighter, more playful side.
