Rókaluki Olaszrizling

Description

The Szász name is almost sinonymus for wine lovers with the Kabócás vineyard, which has already represented us in countless wine competitions as the benchmark for olaszrizling. However, in addition to the famous Szigliget vineyard, we wanted to show what Szent György-hegy is capable of, so in the 2020 vintage we made a premium batch from the excellently located olaszrizling of the Rókaluki vineyard.

This wine is was created with whole-cluster pressing, which means that the grapes are not de-berryed, but the clusters go into the pneumatic press together with the stem, where they are pressed very slowly at low pressure. With this method, we obtain must of exceptional purity, which is then made into a premium batch. The 2023 vintage brings the true mountain characteristics: big body, lots of salt and wet stone, complex flavors, high but not disturbing alcohol.
