Zeus late harvest

Description

Like Zenit, Zeus belongs to the “Z” or Badacsony grape varieties cultivated by Dr. Ferenc Király. It thrives on the sunny southern slopes of Szent György Hill, as it withstands the intense summer heat well, accumulates high sugar content, and its thick skin protects the grapes from splitting.

Even with a late harvest, its acidity remains intact, beautifully demonstrated in the impressive sugar-acid balance of the 2021 vintage. This batch presents youthful aromas, highlighted by tropical fruit, apricot, and melon, yet, as an age-worthy variety, it promises many surprises in the future.
